Five rural facilities bringing care closer to home.

Public-facing language uses “Five Rural Clinics”: three new Woods Roots clinics plus support for two existing government clinics through Kajiado County agreements.

The five clinics

The supplied project proposal identifies three planned Woods Roots clinics and two existing facilities to be supported.

  • Iloshon Clinic — planned Woods Roots facility
  • Mailua Clinic — planned Woods Roots facility
  • Torosei Clinic — planned Woods Roots facility
  • Kumpa CMF Clinic — existing supported facility
  • Emurua Dikirr Clinic — existing supported facility

Primary care

The facilities are intended to provide affordable outpatient care, prevention and treatment for uncomplicated conditions.

Referral network

Each facility connects community members to the Ilbissil referral hospital for emergencies and advanced care.

Local collaboration

Support for the two existing facilities is anticipated through formal agreements with Kajiado County.
